With life getting so busy and stressful, we all could do with a bit of light relief from time to time. I was so over excited when I discovered half of these places that I immediately booked to go to three, (I’m a big kid at heart). If, like me you could do with a break from the everyday stresses that life can bring, keep on reading.
Ballie Ballerson, Shoreditch
Oh-em-gee an Adult Ball Pit Cocktail Bar? How did I not know about this until now?? In East London, awaits the ultimate adult playground, equipped with a one million ball, ball pit and a cocktail bar upstairs serving retro sweetie cocktails and, in their own words, ‘damn sexy food’. To be honest the food sounds just as tempting as the setting. A bottomless brunch? Yes please.
SFG Club at Roof East, Stratford
Hip Hop Bowls, Golf, an Open Air Cinema, Street Food, what’s not to love here? The only thing and that’s that it doesn't reopen until May 3rd. It’s worth the wait however as this adult adventure playground is having a complete revamp for 2018. It’s been re-imagined into a Modern Circus Playground to celebrate 250 years of the good ol’ Circus and I could not be more excited to go. Children are allowed, before 5pm, but after that, Adults get full reign of London's Greatest Playground.
The Crystal Maze, Angel
Were you a fan of this cult classic in the 90’s? If you were, or even if you weren’t, you will love this. It’s almost as if you’re there, with Richard O’Brien himself, as you and your friends work together through the ultimate team trial. It’s mentally and physically challenging, as well as being so much bloomin fun. I’ve been twice and am itching to go again.
Go Ape, Battersea Park
This is a great one for both Kids and Adults, (or adult kids). Trekking through the trees, climbing ropes, whizzing on zip wires, this is the ultimate adrenaline rush and a great day out for all the family…unless you’re my Dad and you can’t stand heights.
Biscuiteers, Notting Hill
I think this is the one I was most excited for. As a lover of biscuits, this was something I immediately wanted to arrange for me and my friends. A 90 minute biscuit icing masterclass, with expert icers on hand who will talk you through the techniques used in the companies very own grand icing hall. A glass of Prosecco is promised on arrival and then it’s on to icing your biscuity masterpieces, which you then get to take home. Prosecco and Biscuits? Sign me up.
I hope that this post gave you the inspiration to rediscover your playful side. Do you have any ‘Kid-ult’ appropriate London hangouts you’d care to share? Leave a comment below!
